Magazine management: MDS is prepared to accommodate these clients that opt to outsource blasting services in a manner where the client deems it necessary while adhering to the MQWM act. We focus on critical controls associated with magazine management as well as explosives handling. Our services include but are not limited to; managing stock levels for business continuity; organization of logistics involved in the transportation of explosives as well as safeguarding and securing of explosives handled outside of blasting patterns and magazines.
MDS recognizes that the rock mass characteristics and properties (hardness, fracture density, fracture orientation) of both are and waste drill blast patterns need distinguished approaches. Drill and Blast Audits : MDS has adopted the quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) tool within its processes. This tool audits and measures the site drilling and blasting process maturity, from the conception stage of the pattern/design all through to the execution and ultimately the reconciliation of activities. The results of both drilling and blast QAQC are prone to minor adjustments within the process. However, these adjustments have the potential to influence the client’s desired outcome if not properly managed, i.e. Loss of lives due to the accidental detonation of explosives. For this reason and many others, MDS opts to include safety controls and protocols that are adhered to, through audits such as inspections, task observations, and checklists. MDS possesses the capacity to orchestrate feasibility studies for its customer base, accommodating drill and blast services in both open pit and underground projects.
